TRASH COMPACTORS
Use and Reference Guide (Outdoor & Indoor Trash Compactors)
Compactor Cart Combo - All in One Hospitals, Health Care & Medical Facilities, Restaurants, Cafeterias & Commercial Kitchens, Schools, Colleges, Hotels, Resorts, Amusement Parks, Casinos, Utility Rooms, Nursing Homes, Ships, Boats & Marine Use, Marinas, and many other types of applications. These compactors have 'state of the art' design with a Built-In Cart that helps with space and safety considerations. Typically this style compactor is placed in utility areas or primary trash collection areas. The Built-In cart (holding a heavy duty poly-bag) collects the compacted trash and when the compactor signals full it is a simple matter of rolling the Cart to the dumpster area and pushing a button in order to initiate the electrically powered raising mechanism (so that the trash can be emptied into the dumpster). The compactor can compact roughly 750 gallons of loose trash before it needs to be emptied (which is the equivalent of almost 4 cubic yards).

Portable Trash Compactors (Cart Separate)
Portable Trash Compactors Hospitals, Health Care & Medical Facilities, Schools, Colleges, Restaurants, Hotels, Resorts, Amusement Parks, Casinos, Utility Rooms, Commercial Kitchens, Ships, Boats & Marine Use, Marinas, and many other types of applications. These type compactors are also placed in utility areas or primary trash collection areas. A durable plastic container is lined with a heavy duty bag and the result is a tight cube of trash that can be the equivalent of up to approximately 1,000 gallons of trash (or roughly 5 cubic yards) before needing to be emptied. These units require a separate liftcart (which can sometimes be an advantage in situations where multiple compactors are purchased at the same location, since the same liftcart can be utilized for all compactors). |

Indoor Hopper Compactors
Main Benefits and Features of these Compactors: 1. These Compactors work in conjunction with the Steel 2 Yard Containers on Casters so they are used in 'street level' applications where the Steel Containers can easily be rolled to the Hauler tipping area. The Compactor achieves a reduction / compaction ratio of about 4 to 1 or 5 to 1 depending upon trash profile. Thus the 2 Yard Container will hold roughly 8 - 10 cubic yards of trash. These Compactors are great in various situations where the trash has to be wheeled to designated areas for tipping. They can can accomodate increases or quick fluctuations in trash volume by simply adding additional containers. It is good to always have at least two containers so one can be in placed with the compactor while the other(s) is waiting to be tipped by the hauler. Another advantage is the the hopper design allows for a large feed opening in which to deposit trash. 2. Compaction Ratios or Reduction ratios usually range from around 4 to 1 up to 6 to 1 depending upon trash profile. |

Outdoor Hopper Compactors
Main Benefits and Features of these Compactors: 1. These Compactors are great for situations where the trash needs tobe loaded into the compactor from a dock versus ground level. They can be used for wet waste or dray waste. 2. With this style of Hopper Compactors they are tipped onsite with either a Front Load or Rear Load Hauler truck. They can also be adapted for a 17 Yard Roll-Off Container. 3. In comparison to a Traditional Self Contained Compactor the footprint is very small so they are excellent choices where space is very confined. |

Main Benefits and Features of these Compactors: 1. These Compactors are designed to be fed through the wall with a chute feed door that feeds into a compactor on the outside. 2. Depending upon site conditions there are many ways to configure these compactors so that they can be utilized for Thru-the-Wall applications. In addition the size containers that are utilized in conjunction with the compactors can be changed if there is a change in trash volume without having to change the compactor. 3. The containers that work in conjunction with Thru-the-Wall Compactors are 4 Yard, 5 Yard, 6 Yard, 8 yard and 17 Yard Roll-Off. |

Smart-Packs (Automatic Compacting Receptacle)
Smart-Packs (Automatic Compacting Receptacle) are great for Fast Food Dining Areas, Mall Food Courts, Airports, Amusement Parks, Casino's and any other Public areas where patrons make their own trash deposits (versus waiter / waitress). These compactors automatically compact based on traffic flow and will hold about 300 gallons of trash before needing to be emptied. They are great for reducing labor, reducing waste hauling charges and overall streamlining. In addition, the units can talk, and thus can be programmed to broadcast verbal messages to patrons. They are also very quiet (not noticeable by nearby patrons) and they have an odor control system in them. They are designed for small incremental trash deposits versus large bags of trash. |
Specialty Compactors such as this Lamp Crusher
Specialty Compactors such as this Lamp Crusher are also available for special situations. This lamp crusher can crush standard Fluorescent bulbs as well as U-Shaped bulbs. Both models include a system designed to filter both dust and mercury vapor. The compactor also incorporates a side-mounted dust filter containing the highest H.E.P.A. filter available (which works in conjunction with an activated carbon filter.) This system captures and neutralizes the mercury vapor released from the lamps during crushing. Even after crushing 1500 lamps, the most recent emission study showed non-detectable levels of mercury vapor emissions. |
Marine Use Compactors
Marine Use Compactors with a special 'Marine Package' designed for boats, ships and marinas. Marine Use Compactor Cart Combo with a special 'Marine Package' designed for boats, ships and marinas. These compactors are similar to the Portable Stainless Steel Commercial Compactor, with the main exception being that a specially designed Marine Package is added as a standard feature. The typical Marine Compactors will hold anywhere from 300 - 600 gallons of trash before needing to be emptied. |
For non-recyclables, a compactor can eliminate much of the labor and handling time normally associated with waste disposal and waste management. Trash Compactors can be the driving force for huge reductions in waste processing and waste disposal requirements which means big labor savings and labor productivity advantages. The obvious benefits are a quick payback due to highly reduced waste hauling requirements and a tremendous reduction in waste disposal labor (such as trips to the dumpster and clean-up around the dumpster by employees). Some of the less obvious benefits are improved security, easier and improved housekeeping, fire hazard reductions and better overall sanitation due to trash being contained and under control. Compactors are a simple and very effective way to manage and streamline waste handling routines. Paybacks can be as little as one year or less depending on trash volume and other factors (not to mention tax advantages).
